This policy explains how PetXcite ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit petxcite.com, contact us, or buy from us.
1. What we collect
- Information you give us: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone (if provided), order details, and anything you write to us by email.
- Payment information: handled directly by PayPal, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.
- Information collected automatically: device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, products added to cart, and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies, pixels and similar tools.
2. How we use it
- To process, print, ship and support your order.
- To reply to your messages.
- To send marketing emails, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.
- To measure and improve our ads and site (for example, knowing which ad led to a visit or purchase).
- To prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with services that help us run the store:
- Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout and sends our emails.
- PayPal, which processes payments, including card payments made through PayPal.
- Print and shipping partners, who receive your name, address and order details to make and deliver your items.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Our site uses the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API, which send information about your visit and purchases (such as pages viewed, items added to cart, purchases and hashed contact details) to Meta, so we can measure our ads and show ads to people who may be interested.
- Microsoft Clarity. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site (clicks, scrolling and pages viewed, shown to us as session replays and heatmaps) so we can improve it. Text you type into forms is masked and not recorded. Clarity only loads if your privacy choices allow analytics.
We may also share information if required by law or to protect our rights.
4. Targeted advertising and your choices
Sharing data with Meta for ads may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, or "targeted advertising", under some US state laws. We don't sell your information for money. You can opt out at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals from your browser.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to run the store (for example, your cart), to understand how the site is used, and for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features, like the cart, may stop working. Shopify's cookie details: shopify.com/legal/cookies.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising, and to appeal our decision on a request. To make a request, email support@petxcite.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
7. Children
Our site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. How long we keep it
We keep order information as long as needed for orders, taxes, accounting and legal reasons, and marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
9. Security
We use reputable, secure services to run the store, but no system is 100% secure.
10. Where your data is processed
Our service providers and our team may process your information outside your state or country. We only use providers that protect it under their own privacy commitments.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows when it last changed.
